The Farm Equipment Bill of Sale can be used to document the transfer of ownership of used farm equipment from the seller to the buyer. The form is specifically designed for the sale of farm equipment. If you’re selling more than one piece of equipment, we highly recommend that you complete a separate bill of sale for each item.
A Farm Equipment bill of sale includes the standard required information: seller’s name and address, buyer’s name and address, description of the equipment, and disclaimers such as the equipment being sold “as is”. You will need the bill of sale if you are required to register the farm equipment with your local motor vehicle office. If the equipment is stolen, the bill of sale will verify your ownership as well as the value of the equipment.
