The As Is bill of sale form transfers the ownership of personal property from one person to another. The sale/purchase is complete once both parties have signed the Bill of Sale, payment has been made, and the property has been transferred from the seller to the buyer.
Both the buyer and seller should have a copy of the bill of sale. It’s common for the buyer to receive the original and the seller to keep a copy. It’s also not uncommon to prepare two bills of sale so both the buyer and seller have an original document signed by both parties.
